School Based Therapy
School Based Therapy is a free service available to all Thomasville City Schools families. A licensed therapist and a supervised team will meet in a confidential setting during the school day within each school to assist students in life challenges that may be inhibiting their success in learning. Whether it is a short term or a longer term issue, seeing the School Based Therapist might just be the answer.
We support students with issues such as grief and loss, depression, anxiety, focus and attention issues, low self-esteem, mood and anger control issues and much more.
School based therapy can also provide assistance with referrals and support as needed to help the whole family be successful.
The school based therapist assists teachers and students with classroom observations, trainings and assistance in creating behavioral plans as needed. The school based therapist assists with programs such as Why Try, Freshman Academy, Bull Pups, Girl Power and more.
