During the 2025-2026 school year, students in Thomasville City Schools may take assessments based on their grade, the courses they are enrolled in, or the programs to which they belong. Some of these assessments are locally selected by Thomasville City Schools in order to to measure students mastery of the curriculum and determine areas in which students need more support. These assessments are formative and designed designed to improve teaching and learning. Students will also participate in assessments that are required by the North Carolina State Board of Education. These assessments are summative in nature and determine a students mastery of required content and skills.
