We would like to cordially invite you to visit Liberty Drive Elementary School and Thomasville Middle School on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 between 8:00am-11:30am for their activities.
- Liberty Drive Elementary (grades 4-5) will be having guest readers read to classes, book talks in the media center, and students and staff will be wearing silly socks everywhere as they have fun with the Fox in Socks book theme.
- Thomasville Middle School will be showcasing a “Starbooks” cafe style theme in their media center where there will be “book tastings”, scavenger hunts and even some sweet treats. The school theme for the day will be “Reading is our Superpower” so students and staff will be wearing superhero shirts and capes all over the school that day.
We also invite you to come visit Thomasville Primary School and Thomasville High School on Thursday, March 7, 2024 for their activities.
- Thomasville Primary School (Grades PreK-3) will be celebrating its theme “Reading Gives us Character” by hosting a book character parade where students will walk the school in a parade type event dressed as their favorite book characters. (Parade time approximately 1:15pm)
- Thomasville High School’s theme on this day will be “Reading Gives You Wings” so students are encouraged to wear wings or something with wings on it and even take selfies in the Media Center with some fun giant wings as they promote the power of literacy for all young adults.
