Student Assignment (Out of District Transfers and Releases)

Families who do not live in the Thomasville City Schools attendance zone but desire for their students to attend Thomasville City Schools will have to apply to be accepted as an Out of District Student. To apply, you will need a TCS application for admission and a release from the school district in which you reside (you will need to contact that school district for their release procedures). Once your full application is received, you will receive a letter explaining your acceptance or denial.

 

Families who live in the Thomasville City Schools attendance zone but desire for your students to attend school outside of Thomasville City Schools will have to apply to be released from our school district. To apply, you will need a TCS application for release and an acceptance letter from the school district that you are being admitted to (you will need to contact that school district for their out of district admission procedures). Once your full application is received, you will receive a letter explaining your release or denial. Please note: If the school district you are trying attend denies your request to attend, your release will expire and you will need to prepare to attend the appropriate TCS school. 

 

Starting March 1, 2022, our admissions and release applications will be electronic via the Scribbles Software platform. All applications for the 2022-2023 school year and beyond must be completed using this method.
